15 Songs I'm Digging Right Now: #7

What would it sound like if you took a 2019 Dua Lipa hit and put it in a blender?

Happy Friday to all the beautiful people in the world and even the ugly dumb stupids. They done chopped and screwed Miss Dula Peep!

  1. “See Me” - death’s dynamic shroud

    Spotify | Apple | YouTube | TIDAL | Amazon

death’s dynamic shroud is not for everybody. And that’s okay! To give you a quick idea of their sound: they’re an electronic trio with a sample-heavy sound fitting of the sub-genre “glitch pop.”

The song “See Me” takes Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” (that song with the terribly earworm-y hook “If you don’t wanna see me dancin’ with somebody”) and puts it in a blender along with three tabs of acid and a handful of synth stabs. I love it!

Here’s a clip. It’s got a switch-up around 18 seconds in, so I recommend sticking with the clip for at least 18 seconds.

  1. “A far l’amore comincia tu” - Raffaella Carrà

    Spotify | Apple | YouTube | TIDAL | Amazon

Would you like some Italian disco?1 I bet you would, you sick animal. I love how Raffaella’s vocals are layered in this. There’s something mischievous about the vocal melody in general, so this is a song I would play in the car if I were driving around a city with my girl friends doing fun, sexy crimes.

This song is for wearing a silk headscarf and big glamorous sunglasses!

Congrats to this woman and her bird for being this week’s Video Of The Week! In the last seven days I have watched this video a minimum of twenty times.

It’s hundreds of hours of good music, Michael. What could it cost, $5?
