Oh Hell Yeah: Two New 'Challengers' Remixes Just Dropped
Nic Fanciulli's remixes feature dialogue samples from the movie. I tried to identify every sample I could.
Sony Music just gifted us with two new house-y remixes of “Challengers: Match Point” from Grammy-nominated producer Nic Fanciulli.
There’s already been some great remixes of the Challengers score, notably the Boys Noize album. The first noticeable difference in Fanciulli’s “Slice” and “Smash” remixes is the use of dialogue from the film as vocal samples.

Here are the vocal samples I could identify:
“C’mere” - When Zendaya beckons Mike Faist to sit next to her on the couch in their hotel suite.
“You want me to come tuck you in?” - A proposal from Zendaya during the horny nighttime beach scene.
“..my girlfriend” - The tail end of this quote from Josh O’Connor: “It's nice to see you lit up about something, even if that something is my girlfriend.”
“Hey, I love you.” - A line from Mike Faist to Zendaya in the hotel scene I mentioned earlier.
“What is it?” - Josh O’Connor’s response to Zendaya’s sultry “You don’t know what tennis is” during the beach scene. (You’re never going to believe this but the answer is: A relationship! Tennis is a relationship!)
Aside from the vocal samples, the two remixes sound very similar. The only real difference I noticed after a few listens is the “Challengers: Match Point” theme is more identifiable in the “Smash” remix.
If you’ve got a good ear for this type of production and can hear more detailed differences, please let me know in the comments!

I can’t get enough of this album, in every version they put out. There’s so much energy. It’s my current go-to “buckle down and get shit done at work” album 😂
